Wolfpen ATV Campground
About Wolfpen ATV Campground
Tucked into the Ouachita Mountains near Mena, Wolfpen ATV Campground has served off-road riders since 1997, built around direct access to the world-famous Wolf Pen Gap trail system. It's known as the original basecamp for the area, a 400-acre property where riders roll straight from their site onto hundreds of miles of trail without ever loading a trailer. Lodging ranges from tent sites and rustic A-frame cabins to fully furnished cottages and full hookup RV sites, so solo riders, families, and big groups all find a place to land after a day in the dirt.
What makes a stay here memorable is how completely it's built around the ride. Guests get rider support with local trail knowledge, access to over 400 miles of OHV routes through Wolf Pen Gap, Fourche Mountain, and the surrounding national forest, plus side-by-side rentals for those who want to explore without hauling their own machine. Mack's Creek winds through the grounds, and the campground store keeps gas, ice, and riding accessories within reach. Evenings settle into a slower rhythm at the creekside pavilion, where a firepit glows against the wooded backdrop, rocking chairs line covered porches, and the sound of moving water replaces the day's engine noise entirely.
