Save your directions before you leave town
Phones lose signal in the hills around Hochatown, and local service sometimes goes out for hours. Save your cabin's directions and the owner's phone number on your phone before you leave Broken Bow.
Ask about the driveway
Some cabins sit at the top of steep gravel driveways with loose rock. If you're driving a small car, ask the owner about the driveway before you book.
Put your cabin's name on every delivery
GPS gets delivery drivers close, but cabins tucked under the trees are easy to miss. Add your cabin's name to the notes on every food or grocery order.
Book ahead
Cabins fill up on summer weekends, holidays and fall color weekends. Weekdays are much easier.

Many cabin roads are gravel, steep and unlit. Try to arrive before dark the first night.
