About The Furry DogMother

Tucked into the community of Bokchito, The Furry DogMother is the grooming shop southeast Oklahoma pet owners turn to when they want their dog to come home looking and feeling genuinely cared for. Owner Angela Bishop built the business around a simple standard: every pet gets treated the way she'd want her own treated, and that philosophy shows in the detail she brings to each groom.

What sets a visit apart is the flair Bishop adds once the basics are handled. Beyond the standard bath, trim, and tidy-up, she's known for playful, personalized touches — tinsel woven into a coat, feather accents, custom bows, and creative color work that turns an ordinary appointment into something closer to a transformation. That same care extends past paying customers, too: in between scheduled appointments, Bishop volunteers her time at local animal shelters, grooming dogs to help improve their chances of adoption. It's a glow-up that gives shelter animals a fresh start, and it's the same standard of attention every pet receives on her table. For dog owners around Bokchito, it means walking out with a companion that doesn't just look groomed, but looks ready for a party — tinsel, bows, and all.
